The Crossroads Community Artist in Residence Program

Our Artist in Residence program at the Crossroads Community Centers in Chestertown, Centreville, and Cambridge provides fine arts experiences for residential and community-based clients from Dorchester, Caroline, Talbot, Queen Anne’s, Kent and Cecil Counties. Since 2023, we have worked with several hundred members of the organization, creating murals and individual studio projects. Currently, participants are involved in the layout and painting of a number of murals focused on regional history and environmental concerns. Each October, participants also exhibit their work in the Mental Health Awareness Art Show at Chesapeake College. Funding for our arts education programming at Crossroads is provided by the Maryland State Arts Council Arts in Education Program.
