Our Artist in Residence program at the A. F. Whitsitt Center provides fine arts experiences for inpatient clients. Since 2023, we have worked with several hundred clients and created 4’ x 12’ focused on local history and culture. Currently, participants are creating a 10’ x 20’ mural focused on the maritime history of the region. Funding has been provided by the Kent County Health Department, Kent County Local Management Board, United Way of Kent County, Kent Cultural Alliance, the Maryland State Arts Council, and Maryland’s Opioid Restitution Fund.
